It’s Wednesday morning and I’m sitting in my bed with my laptop thinking about everything. seriously. everything. I’m the only one here and the house is very quiet… except for the morning traffic whizzing by.
We drove Lesley to the airport late last night so now both in-laws are back in Ontario and this morning it feels a bit weird to have things back to normal. Jonathon left for work this morning after having almost two weeks off. *insert grumpy sad face here. I have LOVED having him home and I think we could very easily fill another two weeks of holiday time.
So that’s why I’m still sitting in bed and thinking about everything that needs to be done. I think I could get overwhelmed but I’m not. I’m just trying to figure out how I’ll get through everything, actually everything that ‘NEEDS’ to be done, done. There’s a whole big list of things that could be done today but that just seems unnecessary so I’m only focusing on the things that actually need to get done. Like spraying the leaves of our plant in the dining room because the poor fella has brown tips and looks very very dry. that’ll be a fairly easy one. and editing…. lots and lots of editing. I have two weddings, two family shoots and even an ‘in-laws’ portrait shoot to edit. The picture below is from their portrait shoot and I LOVE it!! editing will be priority and not just because it’s way more fun than cleaning the kitchen, doing the laundry, or taking out the garbage. okay maybe it IS because of that![]()
I’m also thinking about the Fall which is sneaking up so very quickly and I’m hoping I’ll look back on the summer and be happy and know that we made the most of it. I’m pretty sure our tan lines will prove that we did.
And my website. I’m thinking about my website because… well, it’s not done yet. UGH. But thankfully I’m almost there. And once I finish editing then I can add more photos and I’ll be one step closer. Then I’ll have to face the hardest part and write my bio. And then, deep sigh, it will be done and that will be a fantastic feeling and I will jump for joy and do the robot and treat myself to some kind of fabulous treat. like ice cream or nachos.
or both.
but before the treats and before the Fall and before the finish line… I have to start. So this blog post is my starting line and in about 2 minutes I’ll be able to cross the first thing off my list…
blog post.
The first thing is done and the rest? Well the rest is in the bag.

Lesley - What a great picture to post as we get ready to celebrate our 34th wedding anniversary on Satureday. God willing I’ll be kissin’ that handsome man in the shadows for the next 34 years. Why not, I’ll only be 88 years young then!!
