An eagle, a wharf and just a bunch of nice people…

So you know those times when you wish you had your camera with you to capture some amazing thing that NEVER happens? well I did have my camera, it’s just that it was in the back seat, in my camera bag when this HUGE bald eagle came swooping right in front of our car with it’s ginormous wing span fully spread and then he landed right on the side of the highway. right there, so close I could see his little eyeballs, he was closer than my camera was in the back seat.

For those of you who live outside Victoria, we do have lots of eagles (in the sky) and we do see them fairly regularly (in the sky) but seeing them that close is not normal and because of this, I will have my camera duct taped to my hand for the rest of ever.

Thankfully, other than our drive to the ferry, my weekend was filled with lots of fantastic photo opportunities that I did not miss. phew!

Saturday I went down to Fisherman’s Wharf and met a nice group of people who love to take pictures as much as I do. The sky was completely white, full on cloud cover and it so very lightly started to rain when I was on my way home. As soon as I got in and took my shoes off, I looked outside and there was a solid wall of rain just hammering down! I made it inside just seconds before it started. lucky.

Here are a few of my favourite shots from the wharf:

Then on Sunday I had my first engagement shoot and I’m so glad that it was with Danny and Carla. They have to be two of the sweetest people I have ever met and Jonathon and I truly enjoyed spending the day with them. Their photos will be up at some point this week.. I can’t wait to share!

Oh and one more thing before I go. After meeting Braveheart and Sophia, I now really, REALLY want a horse. or two.

Tracy - I think that will work just perfectly!!! :)

Amanda - Hey Tracy, if you buy the horses you can just keep them at our house!!!

Tracy - Thank you so much Paty!! You are very sweet to say that :) oh yes, the seagulls are crazy around there! A little girl was trying to feed the seals and a seagull kept sweeping down and stealing the fish before it dropped to the seals!! Thankfully she thought it was very funny :)

Paty - I cant get tired of your pictures Tracy, amazing!!
… I used to like Fisherman’s Wharf, but then i was a attacked by a really not friendly seagull.. hahaha, loving the pictures !!
